The Relativity of Love

காதலின் சார்பியல்

தமிழில் படிக்க↓

Your nearness is the measure of my time.In the depths of seeking you, the hours froze. In the bliss of your being here, past speech, past wanting, they dissolve — the day is over before it rose.

Love runs a relativity of its own:the hour is a variable to bend, and you the constant — every reading mendsthe frame where all my measuring ends.

Einstein took his proof from travelling light.I take mine from a doorway and your name:you smile, the room goes quiet, the clock gives up,and no two hours I spend with you weigh the same.

தமிழ்

உன் அருகாமைஎன் காலத்தின் அளவுகோல்.

என் உன்தேடலின் ஆழத்தில் காலம் உறைந்தது,உன் இன்னிருப்பின் மோனத்தில் காலம் கரைந்தது,காதலின் சார்பியல் கோட்பாட்டில்,காலம் வெறும் மாறி, என் நிலை நீயே!

ஐன்ஸ்டீன் கண்டது இயற்பியலல்ல, காதலின் சார்பியல்!

Written in Tamil first, then carried into English rather than translated. இன்னிருப்பு and மோனம் have no English words, so the line reaches for them: a presence that is இன்பம் itself, and the state past speech and past wanting where the mind subsides. The turn on இயற்பியலல்ல is native rhetoric in Tamil, and the English takes a different road to the same claim.
